Srinagar: Just days before the commencement of Class 10th board exams, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has denied exam registration forms to 22 students of The Islamic Global School Srinagar, despite government instructions, leaving parents in distress and forcing the school to seek judicial intervention.

The Principal of the school told news agency JKNS that multiple attempts were made to request the board authorities to consider the students’ cases and facilitate their registration renewal and examination form submission. “As exams approach, we had no other option than to inform the parents about the issue. We approached the JKBOSE office several times, but no positive response was received,” the Principal said.

Despite repeated pleas from the school, JKBOSE has not taken any action, drawing criticism from various quarters for its inaction.

Parents Approach CM’s Office for Resolution

As per sources, frustrated by the lack of response from JKBOSE, parents have reached out to the Chief Minister’s office to get their grievance addressed.

When JKNS contacted Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, he said, “The matter has come to our notice, and we have taken it up with the Chairman JKBOSE. Since it concerns the future of 22 students, we will find a way to resolve it before their exams.”

However, no official comment was available from JKBOSE when this report was filed. The affected students and their families now await a final decision, hoping for intervention before the exams commence. (JKNS)
