Advisor to CM inaugurated 18th UT J&K Wushu championship at Jammu

Jammu: Four days 18th UT J&K Wushu championship commenced at Indoor Hall Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. Approximately 1200 Wushu players from 19 Districts, 06 Khelo India centres and J& K Police are taking part in the championship. Jeenab Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to Chief Minister UT J&K Inaugurated the 04 days 18th UT Wushu championship. He appreciated Wushu Association of J&K for taking the Wushu sports to every nook and corner of the UT J&K, he congratulated Dronacharya Kuldeep Handoo for taking the Wushu to the new heights of J&K, He congratulated all the medalists of 38th National Games at Uttarakhand in Wushu. He also appreciated the role of J&K Sports council for reaching far flung areas and promoting sports.

In his brief speech, He thrusted that sports should be taken as priority, as sports play a pivitol role in shaping the youth, which teaches them discipline, Determination and self confidence.

He briefed that Sports is priority for the government and we are of opinion to make the UT J&K a sports Hub. He advised all the parents to send their wards to sports so that they may be away drugs and mobiles. During the event, he felicitated the Medal winners of Wushu in the 38th National Games and IWUF Wing chun medals in china, he wished all the best to the medalists for the future endeavpurs. Sh. Ranjeet Karla Vice president, presented welcome address , he thanked Advisor to HCM for sparing his valuable time and accepting our request for the inauguration of the 18th UT J&K Wushu championship. He briefed the achievements of Wushu and the wushu glamour across the UT J&K.

Today on the opening, the Sub-Junior Boys and Girls fought for the yellow metal, tomorrow Sub-Junior and Junior category boys and Girls will fight for the podium.

Kuldeep Handoo Presented vote of thanks , he thanked Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani for sparing his valuable time to inaugurate the championship, he thanked all the guests, Media and J&K Sports council for supporting wushu sport. He requested to government for setting up Wushu academy in J&K and assured that wushu will be top sports with medals in Asian Games/World championships.
