DSEK visits Sainik School Manasbal; Inspects the admission entrance test center

SRINAGAR: Director School Education Kashmir, (DSEK) Dr GN Itoo, today visited the Sainik School Manasbal where he inspected the Entrance Test center established for admissions to the classes of 6th, 9th and 11th.
During the visit, the Dir reviewed all the facilities and interacted with the students.
On the occasion, DESK maintained that discipline and transparency are essential for an examination and stated that every concerned officer & staff member must play a vital role for the fair conduct of examination.
GN Itoo informed that two centers, one at Sainik School Manasbal and one in Kargil, had been established for the test, in which 850 students appeared.
He added that students from all districts of UT Ladakh and Kashmir province participated in this test.
Speaking regarding reopening of schools after winter vacation, the Director stated that schools will reopen on March 1st after the winter break for which the department has made all necessary arrangements for the same.
Further, DSEK said that March 1st will be celebrated as ‘Welcome Day’ for students while all the teaching staff will report back for the duties and make the celebration joyful with students.
Meanwhile, GN Itoo stated that from March 1st to March 15th, a special ‘Enrollment Drive’ will be conducted across the Kashmir province, with the participation of school heads, teachers, and students.
He stated that the department has set up a monitoring system to ensure the successful conduct of this campaign, ensuring that no child is left out of school.
GN Itoo appealed to the parents to enroll all their children who are not attending school, so that every child in the Kashmir division avails the benefits of free education facilitated by the government.
