Jammu: An intruder was killed as BSF on Wednesday said to have foiled an infiltration bid in Pathankot on the international border.
An official told news agency JKNS that at pre dawn , BSF troops observed a suspicious movement across the IB in BOP Tashpatan, Pathankot border area and a intruder was observed crossing IB.
He said that the intruder was challenged by the alert troops but paid no heed and kept on moving.
BSF troops sensing threat neutralised the intruder while the identity and motive of the intruder is being ascertained, he said.
Vigilant BSF troops thwarted infiltration attempt and strong protest will be lodged with pak Rangers, he said.—(JKNS)
