Rajnath Singh releases hindi magazine ‘Sashakt Bharat’

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has launched the first edition of the Ministry of Defence’s biennial Hindi magazine ‘Sashakt Bharat’ here on Thursday.

The magazine contains poems on the valour, patriotism and sacrifice of the Armed Forces personnel and articles on the policies of the Government written by the personnel of the Ministry.

The Defence Minister appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Defence, Department of Official Language for promoting Hindi. He stressed on the need to increase the adoption and use of Hindi and described the language as a connecting thread in the social and cultural fabric of India.

The objective of ‘Sashakt Bharat’ magazine is to highlight the creative talent of the employees of the Ministry of Defence and encourage them to perform their daily tasks in Hindi. The e-version of the magazine is available on the official website of the Ministry of Defence.

Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary (Defence Production) Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary (Ex-Servicemen Welfare) Dr Niten Chandra, Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and Chairman, DRDO, Dr Sameer V Kamath and other senior officers of the Ministry of Defence were present on the occasion.
