Srinagar: Passenger vehicles (LMVs) have been allowed to ply from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
An official told news agency JKNS, authorities have advised commuters to maintain lane discipline, as overtaking may lead to congestion.
Passengers have also been urged to travel during daylight hours and avoid unnecessary halts between Ramban and Banihal due to the risk of landslides and shooting stones.
Meanwhile, heavy motor vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed later after assessing road conditions. (JKNS)
