Ishfaq Jabbar chairs Working Committee Meet of National Conference in Ganderbal

SRINAGAR, September 13: National Conference Ganderbal held a special working committee meeting
the decision-making body of the party after the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status in August last year at NC headquarter Ganderbal here today.

The meeting was  presided over by NC District President and former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh IshfaqJabbar, who asked the members of the working committee to work with utmost dedication and sincerity to serve the mission of the party and alleviate the issues faced by the common man, reads a statement.

The NC working committee meeting adopted a resolution pledging to continue its faith in the leadership of Dr  Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah while appreciating the role played by them in leading the party in spite of various challenges.

The members also express their full faith in the leadership of JKNC District President Ganderbal Sheikh IshfaqJabbar, who resolutely and through consensus is leading the Party, the statement said.

On the occassion Ishfaq said that “we are in an unprecedented situation, which calls for a cohesive approach based on compassion and the spirit of togetherness, the hallmark of our glorious existence.

Political class should not be seen seeking votes only but it has to remain in the forefront to share the miseries of the people, especially during the critical times mankind is presently in,” he said.

Mr Jabbar lauded the resilience of the people in meeting the challenge with courage and fortitude, hoping the current gloomy phase will come to an end soon, the statement added.

The committee members gave their valuable suggestions to revitalize the party in the district.

In the meeting, NC District President Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Ahmad nominated Fayaz Ahmad Bhat as District Joint Secretary of the party.
