Srinagar: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Senior Leader and Media Incharge Kashmir, Adv. Sajid Yousuf Shah, today accused the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) of betraying the mandate of the people. He highlighted that instead of fulfilling the promises made in their election manifesto, JKNC is diverting the people’s attention to unrelated issues in the assembly session.
Shah expressed his disappointment with NC’s leadership, particularly in light of recent remarks by NC leader Mir Saifullah, who compared Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Shah stated that the National Conference has historically shown a soft corner towards Pakistan, and he condemned the statement, demanding an apology from the NC leadership for such remarks. Shah asked NC leaders to see the plight of the people in POK who are deprived of basic facilities and then make any comment.
He further criticized the hollow promises made by JKNC during the elections, claiming that not a single promise made by the Omar Abdullah-led government has been fulfilled. He called on the people of Jammu and Kashmir to hold the National Conference accountable for their failure to deliver on their commitments.
