Dubai: Paul Reiffel of Australia and Richard Illingworth of England will be the on-field umpires for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final between India and New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium. the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Thursday
Joel Wilson of the West Indies has been appointed as the third umpire for Sunday’s summit clash.
Sri Lanka’s Kumar Dharmasena will serve as the fourth umpire, and Ranjan Madugalle, also from Sri Lanka, will be the match referee, the ICC said in a media release here.
Reiffel recently officiated in the high-intensity semifinal between South Africa and New Zealand in Lahore, whereas Illingworth stood as an on-field umpire in India’s semifinal against Australia in Dubai. Illingworth, a highly experienced umpire, has previously officiated in marquee matches, including the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup final and the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final. UNI
