INDIAN ARMY DISTRIBUTED SKILL CERTIFICATES AMONG LOCAL WOMEN TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY AT KUPWARA

Kupwara: On the special occasion of International Women’s Day, Indian Army’s Kupwara Terriers organised an event where in local woman were able to put forth the story of their journey to success and motivate the girls and woman present.

In this regard 19 local women were felicitated by Indian Army Kupwara Terriers on the Special occasion of world women’s Day on 08 Mar 2025. These Women have successfully completed two weeks Skill Improvement Workshop organised by Kupwara Terriers at Pathahirri Garrison from 24 Feb to 08 Mar 2025.

Initially this workshop was scheduled for One week only but the workshop got traction among the local girls and was extended to two weeks on receiving repeated requests from them.

CO, Kupwara Terriers along with other officers and families graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Commanding Officer distributed certificates and gifts among the participants.

The chief guests while addressing the audience, emphasised upon the need for woman to be strong and supportive to each other. Declaring one day for celebration of women’s day is successful only when she is respected and honoured all days of the year. It is the woman who makes the house grooms the children and thus develops the society. The achievers narrated their success stories and stressed upon the need for woman to be focused on their dreams and work hard to achieve the same.

The commanding officer ensured the audience present that they cannot be less than anyone if they decide to be strong and committed to the womanhood. At last, all participants, highly appreciated the efforts of Indian Army, their constructive approach towards women empowerment and providing suitable platforms to showcase their talent and be independent.
