disheartening to see that Shias of Pakistan are being criminalized by some fringe elements in the country in cities like Karachi : incarcerated Aga Hassan writes to Imran Khan

Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-E-Sharie Shain President and Patron-in-Chief of Jaffaria Supreme Council, Muzaffarabad Incarcerated Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi wrote to Pakistan’s Prime Minister that is made to present an example of a modern nation state that is accommodation of multiple groups of Muslims that are also able to protect dignity of non-Muslims.
In a statement issued,letter reads “It is disheartening to see that Shias of Pakistan are being criminalized by some fringe elements in the country in cities like Karachi. Sindh is a city that has a long history of protection and patronage of Shi’ism.
Further letter reads “Pakistan cannot be and should not be given into the hands of those who believe in Takfir. Takfiri ideology is made by Imperialists and supported by Zionist only to damage Islam from inside and it will push Pakistan only into civil war.
This is not the dream that was seen by the Qaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Bibi Fatima Jinah and other forefathers of the country.
Pakistan that comes only after Iran and precedes Iraq in number of Shia population”.
Letter concludes “Thus Pakistan cannot effort to be monopolized by takfiris. The government of Pakistan must clear its stand on this question and protect all sections of society with equal treatment”.
