Srinagar, Sep 19: Welcoming the economic package announced by Lieutenant Governor’s Manoj Sinha led administration; Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Kashmir unit Saturday stated that it is a big relief for the people during the Covid19 crisis.
Party’s Kashmir Media-Incharge and senior leader Manzoor Bhat in a statement said that announcement of the economic package is the welcome move and hoped that it will boost the ailing business sector in the region.
“It is the first time that people associated with industrial and commercial consumers are being given 50 percent concession in electricity and water bills. It is the biggest relief for them and such initiatives during Covid19 are a sign of mature democracy,” he said.
Bhat said admin’s 5% Interest subvention to every borrower from business community at every level for six months will help the business community to revive their losses faced due to the Covid19 lockdown this year.
“We hope that LG administration will soon announce soon “structured package” for transporters, drivers, auto-drivers, houseboat owners, and shikara wallas, they have also suffered massive losses from during the lockdown,” he said.
Bhat said apart from financial constraints that country is facing this time, LG administration is doing the best thing possible to revive the business and development on track in the region.
“On behalf of every BJP worker in Kashmir, I extend my thanks to LG Manoj Sinha administration and central leadership for this package. It will provide relief to poor, farmers, businessman and citizens. The initiative will help JK to become self-sufficient,” he said.
