Srinagar: Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Sunday said the amendments to the Waqf Bill will bring positive results in the coming years.
Kiren Rijiju, while speaking to media persons here in Srinagar as per news agency JKNS, said, “Those who did not understand the Bill are unhappy.
Keeping politics aside, the people who understand the amendments made by us in the bill will know it is going to benefit the poor, Muslims, women and people from backward communities in the next 2-3 years, Rijiju said.”
He added that the government is committed to strengthening Waqf institutions and ensuring transparency in their functioning for the upliftment of marginalized sections. (JKNS)
