*Says ‘Mufti Nasir receiving frequent threats, Admin must act fast’*

Srinagar 26 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Personal Board headed by Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam on Saturday asked government to provide security to Mufti Nasir on the pretext that he is receiving frequent threats and intimidations from various quarters.

Chief spokesman of Muslim Personal Board in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that already the situation is vulnerable and there were threats of life in the past as well, but the government is not serious about providing security to them.

“In such a situation, the government should provide adequate security to the office,” he said, adding that they have received threats in the recent past as well. “Keeping in view of the vulnerable and hostile situation, the security must be allocated to Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam and his office.”

He added that one PSO has been deployed for the security of Mufti Nasir-ul-Isla and the office. “Nearly 200 to 300 people are visiting our office on each passing day and it won’t be possible to identify the persons who visit the office with mala fide intentions, thus the government should provide adequate security in the office to ensure safety of Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam and the people there—(KNO)
