One killed, nine others injured in Banihal road accident

inagar, April 14 (JKNS):- One person was killed while at least nine others were injured in a road accident in Banihal area of Ramban district on Monday.

An official told news agency JKNS that a Tata mobile carrying eleven passengers of two Bakarwal families of Tehsil Teryath Rajouri was onway towards Srinagar when reached near railway bridge at Banihal turned turtle and collided with bridge.

He said that in the incident nine passengers one died while nine received injuries while a baby girl was safe.

After providing the first Aid at SDH Banihal all injured were referred to GMC Anantnag for further treatment, he said.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation in this regard.—(JKNS)
