Man, woman injured after being attacked by leopard in Kupwara

Kupwara: A leopard attacked two people while they were working in their agricultural land in the Aloosa area of Kralpora in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

An official told the news agency JKNS the leopard appeared suddenly from a nearby forest and attacked the duo, leaving them injured. They were immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kralpora for treatment.

He said, the injured have been identified as Mohd Abdullah Wani (75), son of Khazir Mohammad Wani, and Hafeeza Begum (50, wife of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, both residents of Aloosa.

He added, a team has been informed, and further details are awaited, and the injured have been shifted to Hospital.—(JKNS)
