High Court Srinagar Holds Condolence Meet to Mourn Pahalgam Attack Victims

Srinagar: A solemn condolence meeting was held at the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, Srinagar, on Wednesday to pay homage to the victims of the horrific terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 civilians dead.

According to details gathered by JKNS, the meeting was attended by Judges of the Hon’ble High Court, Deputy Solicitor General of India Srinagar, Additional Advocate Generals, Central Government Counsels (CGCs), Government Advocates, Senior Advocates, and other members of the legal fraternity practising at the High Court Srinagar. Members of the Registry and High Court staff were also present.

The gathering observed a two-minute silence in memory of the victims and expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of lives. Speakers condemned the attack in strong terms, calling it a brutal act against innocent civilians and a blow to the peace and hospitality that Kashmir stands for.

In their remarks, senior legal officials and advocates highlighted the collective pain felt across Kashmir and emphasized the need for unity in the face of such barbarism. They urged swift justice for the victims and a determined effort to prevent such tragedies in the future.

The event concluded with prayers for the departed souls and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured. The legal community reaffirmed its stand against violence and its support for initiatives that uphold peace, law, and justice in the region. —(JKNS)
