*58 year old woman injured in bear attack*
Anantnag, Oct 6 : A 58-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was attacked by a bear in an apple orchard at Mattan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.
Local sources told that Naseema Begum, wife of Abdul Hamid Hajam was walking in the orchard, when a bear appeared from behind and attacked her, they said.
On hearing her screams, some people raised an alarm and managed to rescue her, as the bear ran towards upper reaches.
People then took the heavily bleeding woman to PHC Mattan where doctors referred her to District Hospital Anantnag for further treatment.
