Jammu, May 28 (JKNS): Panic gripped the Transport Nagar area of Narwal in Jammu on Wednesday after three mortar shells were found lying.
A senior police officer told news agency JKNS that the explosive shells were spotted by locals in the Transport Nagar locality, after which the police were immediately informed.
Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called to the scene to inspect and neutralize the threat, he said.
Shells were old and appeared to have been dumped at the site, but further examination was underway, officer said.—(JKNS)
