Srinagar, Jun 08: In a significant boost to the Valley’s tourism sentiment, eight Judges from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, along with their families, are currently touring Kashmir, bringing a renewed wave of confidence in the region’s safety and hospitality.

The visiting delegation includes Justice Vinod S. Bharadwaj, Justice Pankaj Jain, Justice Jasjit Singh Bedi, Justice Nidhi Gupta, Justice Harkesh Manuja, Justice Aman Choudhary, Justice N.S. Shekawat, and Justice Vikram Aggarwal. Their presence in the Valley is being hailed as a strong message of peace and normalcy.

During their stay, the dignitaries visited some of Kashmir’s most iconic landmarks — from the historic Mughal gardens of Shalimar and Nishat, to a sunset shikara ride on Dal Lake, a walk through Pari Mahal, and an evening visit to the bustling Polo View Market.

The visit comes at a time when the tourism sector is recovering from the Pahalgam incident. Local stakeholders believe such high-profile visits reinforce the Valley’s image as a safe and welcoming destination, with hoteliers and travel agents already witnessing increased interest from visitors.

Justice Vikram Aggarwal, part of the visiting team, praised the arrangements and called upon people across the country to explore Kashmir’s unmatched beauty. “The Valley is not only secure but also offers unforgettable experiences to travellers,” he said.

The ongoing tour is seen as a morale-lifter for the local economy and a positive step toward restoring full tourist confidence in the Valley.
