Karnah, June 16: The District Administration Kupwara today launched the HUNARMAND Kupwara Skill Development Programme at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Tangdar, with the inauguration ceremony graced by the Worthy SDM Karnah, Mr. Zaffar Ahmad Lone.
The programme, held in the premises of ITI Tangdar, witnessed an enthusiastic participation of around 300 students aspiring to gain technical and vocational skills for better employability.
During the event, Superintendent ITI Tangdar, Qazi Mohammad Arif, delivered an informative address highlighting various government skill development schemes and encouraged the youth to actively benefit from these opportunities.
Under this new initiative, six new courses have been introduced in addition to the existing trades already functioning successfully at the institute. The newly established admission cell has received an overwhelming response with a large number of applications pouring in for various skill-based trades.
The HUNARMAND Kupwara programme aims to empower the local youth with industry-relevant skills and create avenues for self-reliance and employment in the region.
