Leh: In a significant administrative move, the Union Territory of Ladakh has designated Dr. Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal, IPS, Director General of Police, as the Controlling Authority under the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 (PSARA).
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, Ladakh a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 (Act No. 29 of 2005), and in supersession of S.O. 23 dated 04.06.2024, the Lieutenant Governor, Union Territory of Ladakh hereby designates Dr. Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal, IPS, Director General of Police, UT of Ladakh, as the Controlling Authority for the purpose of the Act.
