Rainawari residents protest against Jal Shakti Department

Srinagar, Oct 11:Residents of Sikandarpora, Rainawari area of summer capital Srinagar, staged a protest demonstration on Sunday against the shortage of drinking water supply in the area.

Reports said that the aggrieved residents including women hit streets and were shouting slogans against Jal Shakti Department for failing to provide them with regular water supply in the area from last two weeks.

The protesting inhabitants alleged that the Jal Shakti Department hardly bother to restore water supply to the locality, thus forced them to hit the roads.

The residents were demanding the immediate restoration of the problem reports added.
