The programme was well-attended by staff members of TLSC Tangdhar, members of the Bar Association Tangdhar, Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs), the Principal and faculty of GDC Tangdhar, police officers, and around 100 students from the college.

Prominent speakers included Adv. Qazi Mehboob Allahi, President Bar Association Tangdhar, and panel lawyers Adv. Farooq Ahmed Qureshi and Adv. Waqar Ahmad, who served as resource persons. They shed light on the growing concern of drug abuse in society and educated the participants on the legal provisions available to combat it. The speakers emphasized the pivotal role of NALSA (National Legal Services Authority) in promoting a drug-free India through legal awareness and community action.

Dr. Muktayar Ahmad, Medical Officer at SDH Tangdhar, represented the Health Department and spoke about the health hazards of drug abuse. He stressed the importance of community engagement and the role of civil society in building a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Police officers including PSI Mohd Iqbal, PSI Mohd Ashraf, PSI Abjeet Chand, PSI Sanjay Singh, and PSI Binnay Sharma also addressed the gathering, sharing insights into law enforcement efforts and encouraging public cooperation in eradicating drug-related issues.

Principal of GDC Tangdhar, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, highlighted the need for awareness and united community action to fight the drug menace. He urged students and citizens to socially boycott drug peddlers as a powerful step towards ending the crisis.

The event concluded with a strong and resonating message: the fight against drugs requires joint efforts from legal, medical, law enforcement, and educational institutions together working toward a drug-free and healthy society.
