Heavy Pakistani shelling under Operation Sindoor along the Line of Control has left several families homeless in Karnah border areas. The intense artillery fire damaged many houses and households in villages including Hajinar, Baghbella, Bhatpora, and Triboni Karnah.
In response, Gandhi Global Family in collaboration with Sant Nirankari Mission organised a relief distribution camp today at the Mini-Secretariat Karnah. The relief distribution was held in the presence of SDM Karnah Zaffar Ahmad Lone and Tehsildar Karnah Mohd Amin Bhat. Only those families whose houses were fully damaged gathered at the venue to receive essential items such as rice, daal, oil, and blankets to meet their immediate needs.
Victims expressed deep distress over losing their homes and belongings overnight due to the cross-border shelling. Civil society members thanked Gandhi Global Family, Sant Nirankari Mission, and the local administration for their timely support and humanitarian assistance.
Local residents appealed to the government for immediate compensation, permanent rehabilitation, and peace initiatives to ensure safety and security for civilians residing along the volatile border areas.
