‘Omar Abdullah announced the Gupkar Declaration meeting via Twitter soon after meeting Mehbooba Mufti ’

Srinagar, Oct 15: The day after release of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti from detention, the National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah visited the former at her residence in Srinagar to enquire about her well-being.
Soon after the trio meting the Omar Abdullah took on twitter and announced the Gupkar Declaration signatories meeting on Thursday afternoon in order to discuss the future course of action.
“My father & I called on Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba this afternoon to enquire about her well-being after her release from detention. She has kindly accepted Farooq Sb’s invitation to join a meeting of the Gupkar Declaration signatories tomorrow afternoon,” Omar tweeted.
Meanwhile the signatories of Gupkar declaration belongs from the National Conference (NC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), People’s Conference (PC), Congress (INC) and other few other emerging political parties.
However it’s pertinent to mention that Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Apni Party (AP) are opposing the Gupkar declaration.
Mehbooba confirmed her expected participation in Gupkar Declaration signatories meet through a tweet where she thanked Abdullah’s, “It was nice of you & Farooq sahab to come home. It gave me courage listening to him. I am sure together we all can change things for the better,” Mehbooba tweeted.
