Srinagar, July 16 (JKNS): As the Monsoon Session of Parliament commenced on Wednesday, Congress leader Umar Jaan calls for urgent attention to the pressing concerns of Jammu and Kashmir, urging the central government to fulfill its promises.
In his post, Umar Jaan wrote, “As the Monsoon Session of Parliament begins, the voice of the people must echo louder than ever. Restore full statehood to J&K. Address rising unemployment. Uphold democratic values. Parliament is for the people, let it serve them.”
The statement comes at a time when several opposition parties, including national and regional leaders, have renewed their push for the restoration of constitutional and political rights to the Union Territory. (JKNS)
