Qazigund, July 24: Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Qazigund today held a vibrant and inspiring ceremony to mark the release of its Annual School Magazine Baab-E-Kashmir. The event also featured a special felicitation programme to honour students who excelled in the Class 10th and 12th board examinations, as well as those who brought laurels to the institution through their participation in UT-level sports competitions.

A significant highlight of the day was the inauguration of a new school library by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Anantnag, Mr. Ali Mohammad Bhat, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, the CEO praised the efforts of the school administration, faculty, and students for cultivating an environment that supports academic excellence and holistic development.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Tehsildar Qazigund Khursheed Ahmad Tantray, Principal GGHSS Qazigund Mahmood Raina, and Principal HSS Vessu Shoaib Khatana, who commended the school’s continued commitment to providing platforms for student creativity and achievement.

The ceremony was enriched by a range of cultural performances by students, showcasing their talents and adding colour to the occasion. The release of Baab-E-Kashmir was celebrated as a reflection of the students’ literary, artistic, and intellectual potential, with contributions spanning poetry, essays, artwork, and reflections.

The program concluded with the distribution of certificates and mementos to the meritorious students and sports achievers, serving as a moment of recognition and motivation for the entire student body to strive for even greater heights.
