Rajouri: Panic gripped residents of Broh Panchayat in Kalakote subdivision of Rajouri district on Friday after a local person found a 51mm mortar shell in a field.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the mortar shell was spotted by a local in the area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kalakote, following which police were informed.
A police team rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. Efforts are underway to safely dispose of the explosive device, an official said. (JKNS)
