Kargil, July 29 (JKNS): The Baseej-e-Imam unit of the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), Kargil, on Tuesday organized a massive protest rally in response to what it termed a “malicious and defamatory media campaign” targeting the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei.
The rally began from Markazi Jama Masjid and passed through Imam Khomeini Chowk before culminating at Lal Chowk Kargil, drawing participation from a large cross-section of the public. Protesters carried placards featuring the Supreme Leader and banners with slogans such as “Death to America,” “Death to Israel,” and “Death to Godi Media,” denouncing what they described as Western-Zionist efforts to malign Islamic leadership.
Prominent religious and political figures, including Haji Asgar Karbalai and Seyed Ali Musavi, addressed the gathering. The speakers strongly condemned the alleged smear campaign by sections of the so-called Godi media and foreign outlets, asserting that such actions are part of a broader pattern aimed at undermining Islamic authority and unity.
“The enemies of Islam have always resorted to slander and vilification from the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) to the era of our Imams (AS) and their representatives,” said one of the speakers. “Today, they seek to tarnish the image of the Supreme Leader because he symbolizes resistance to oppression and injustice.”
The rally concluded with calls for unity, steadfast resistance, and unwavering loyalty to the principles upheld by Ayatollah Khamenei and the global Islamic resistance front. Participants vowed to remain vigilant against all forms of ideological aggression and media warfare directed at Islamic values and leadership. (JKNS)
