Budgam, Aug 6 (JKNS): Residents of Khag Bamraada in Budgam district on Wednesday staged a strong protest against what they termed as decades-long neglect and lack of basic infrastructure in the area.
As per news agency JKNS, the protesters expressed anger over the absence of clean drinking water, poor road conditions, and unfulfilled promises made by political representatives. “Forget development, we don’t even have drinking water,” said a local.
They also questioned their administrative linkage with Khansahib constituency, alleging that MLA Saifuddin Bhat has failed to visit or address their issues. “We are caught between Beerwah and Khansahib constituencies, and neither side is working for us,” a protester said.
The residents urged the district administration and elected representatives to intervene and ensure immediate improvement in road connectivity, water supply, and other basic facilities. (JKNS)
