Paid tribute to the Martyrs of Jammu & Kashmir police today on Police Commemoration Day observed throughout the Jammu & Kashmir in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties. J&K level function was held at Police Complex Zewan in Srinagar today in which the Honourable LG of J&K Shri Manoj Sinha Ji along with the DGP J&K Shri Dilbagh Singh Ji were present. It was a sentimental but proud moment for me to salute the martyrs and pay respects to them who laid their lives for the nation. “The men in uniform are always putting their lives to risk for the safety and security of the nation. They fight with valour the hidden and coward enemies who are trained to strike from back and make us feel secure in our homes. I salute to every police man fighting for the country amid great risks to their lives. Speaking to the media on the occasion I said, “Uniformed Martyrs are our real heroes who are protecting our honour and lives,” was my message on the day. During the past one year, the police force in J&K has been strengthened a lot. They have made our lives trouble free on streets, they are helping the society fight the drug menace and bravely eliminating the enemies of the country in co-ordination with other security forces.” Chief Secretary of the State Shri B V R Subramanyam and the Advisor the LG Shri Baseer A Khan along with many Police Officers were part of the event.

Dr Darakhshan Andrabi Member, Central Waqf Council & Chairperson Waqf Development Committee, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt of India
