Kathua, Aug 18 (JKNS): The Deputy Commissioner of Kathua has ordered the cancellation of all sanctioned leaves for government employees in the district, effective immediately, as the region grapples with heavy rains and a flood-like situation.
According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, JKAS, all types of leaves, with the exception of medical leave, for government employees across all departments in Kathua have been canceled. The order, accessed by news agency JKNS, also states that no new leave applications will be considered without the DC’s prior approval.
All employees who are currently on leave have been directed to return to their headquarters immediately. The order emphasizes that non-compliance will be met with serious action and disciplinary proceedings.
Heads of all departments are required to ensure strict adherence to the directive, which is aimed at ensuring a full workforce is available for any necessary relief and rescue operations. (JKNS)
