LG Sinha Sends Senior IAS, IPS Officers to Monitor Relief Efforts in Kishtwar’s Cloudburst-Hit Chasoti

Srinagar, Aug 19 (JKNS): In the wake of the devastating cloudburst in Chasoti village of Kishtwar, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has deputed senior IAS and IPS officers to the spot to directly oversee the ongoing rescue and relief operations.

As per a government order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the officers will be deployed on rotation from August 19 to August 26 to ensure effective coordination on the ground.

For August 19 and 20, the supervision will be handled by Chandraker Bharti (IAS), Principal Secretary Home Department, along with Uttam Chand (IPS), IGP Police Operations & Services.

On August 21 and 22, Anil Kumar Singh (IAS), Principal Secretary PWD (R&B), and Sujit Kumar (IPS), IGP Security J&K, will take over duties.

The roster further places Shaleen Kabra (IAS), Financial Commissioner & Additional Chief Secretary Jal Shakti Department, and M. Suleman Choudhary (IPS), IGP Traffic J&K, in charge on August 23 and 24.

Finally, on August 25 and 26, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (IAS), Secretary Science & Technology Department, together with Vivek Gupta (IPS), IGP Railways J&K, will oversee the operations. (JKNS)
