New Delhi, Aug 30 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacted with the governors of 16 Japanese prefectures in Tokyo, emphasizing that state-prefecture cooperation is a vital pillar of the India-Japan friendship.
The engagement is part of a new initiative launched during the 15th Annual India-Japan Summit to deepen bilateral relations.
In a post on X, PM Modi as per news agency JKNS wrote, “This morning in Tokyo, interacted with the Governors of 16 prefectures of Japan. State-prefecture cooperation is a vital pillar of India-Japan friendship.”
“This is also why a separate initiative on it was launched during the 15th Annual India-Japan Summit yesterday. There is immense scope to cooperate in areas like trade, innovation, entrepreneurship and more. Futuristic sectors like Startups, tech and AI too can be beneficial, it reads.”
In another post PM wrote, Productive outcomes during a productive visit. May India-Japan friendship scale newer heights in the times to come!, reads the post.
Prime Minister had earlier on Friday reached Tokyo on the first leg of his two-nation visit. (JKNS)
