Srinagar, Aug 30 (JKNS): The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is currently closed for the fifth straight day on Saturday.
A traffic official as per news agency JKNS said that the public has been advised not to travel on the route until restoration work is completed and the road is declared fit for traffic.
The advisory, issued by the department, also cautions commuters against heeding rumors.
Meanwhile, traffic is plying normally on the Mughal Road, SSG Road, and Sinthan Road as per the existing advisory, official said.
Commuters on these routes have been urged to follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking to prevent congestion, he added. (JKNS)
