Srinagar, Sep 1: At a ceremony held at SKICC, noted video journalist Sajid Sidiq Sheikh was conferred with the 15th Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award for his outstanding contributions to journalism.
The award was presented by Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha, in the presence of Union Minister Ramdas Athawale.
Sajid, a seasoned journalist with over two decades of experience, currently works with Asian News International (ANI). Known for his dedication, integrity, and commitment to truthful reporting, his tireless work has earned him this recognition.
Expressing gratitude after receiving the award, Sajid said the honour has boosted his morale and further strengthened his resolve to serve the public through responsible journalism.
