Govt Constitutes TAC for Development of Web, Mobile Apps for Migrant Relief Commissioner, Digitization of Records

Srinagar, Sep 9 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday constituted a Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) for the project “Development of Web Application and Mobile Application for Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants), J&K and Digitization of Documents of Provincial Rehabilitation Office, Jammu.”

As per Government Order issued by GAD-JK a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the committee will be chaired by Mr. Ahsan Hussain Pandit, Director In-charge, NIELIT J&K. Other members include Mr. Sumit Kumar Panday, Assistant Professor, IIT Jammu; Er. Prabjot Singh, Assistant Professor, Government College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu; and Dr. Irfan Ahmad, Project Manager, J&K e-Governance Agency, who will also serve as the Member Secretary.

The committee has been tasked to provide technical vetting of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), assess the proposed methodology and technology, and recommend suggestions on the viability of the solutions.

It is also mandated to ensure strict compliance with government rules, procedures, and guidelines while vetting the DPR, it reads.

According to the order, the committee must submit its report to the Information Technology Department within 15 days of issuance. The Member Secretary has been directed to coordinate with all members to ensure timely meetings and appraisal.

The government said the initiative aims to strengthen digital governance, streamline migrant relief operations, and secure digitization of vital records for transparency and efficiency. (JKNS)
