Srinagar, Sep 20 (JKNS): District Police Anantnag on Saturday issued a public advisory prohibiting the flying of drones, UAVs, or any similar aerial devices without prior approval from the competent authority, citing prevailing security concerns.
According to the advisory as per news agency JKNS, individuals, institutions, media persons, and event organizers intending to use drones must obtain permission well in advance.
The police warned that any unauthorized flying will invite strict action under relevant legal provisions, and the equipment may also be seized.
Citizens have been urged to remain alert and immediately report any suspicious drone activity to the nearest police station or on helpline numbers 9419051940, 01932-222870.
Police said cooperation of the public is crucial in maintaining peace, safety, and security in the district. (JKNS)
