Shepherd Injured in Bear Attack in Larnoo Forest, Hospitalized

Anantnag, Sep 21 (JKNS): A shepherd from Sidhra Jammu sustained serious injuries after being attacked by a wild bear in Narsangar Larnoo forest area on Sunday.

 

Officials told news agency JKNS that the injured has been identified as Tahir Ahmad, son of Mohd Sadik Khatana, resident of Sidhra Jammu, aged 40 years. He suffered multiple facial injuries in the attack.

 

The victim was initially given first aid at PHC Larnoo and later referred to GMC Anantnag for specialized treatment.This is the second bear bite case reported from the Larnoo belt in recent days, raising concern among locals over the increasing incidents of man-animal conflict. (JKNS)
