Ganderbal, Sep 24 (JKNS): Panic gripped Kawcherwan area of Kangan after a boy drowned in a power canal on Wednesday, with his body recovered following a massive search operation carried out by police, SDRF, NDRF and local residents.
Officials told news agency JKNS that soon after the incident, rescue teams swung into action and launched extensive searches in the area.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmed Poswal, along with SHO Kangan, closely monitored the operation. Two persons have been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the case, officials added. (JKNS)
