IRP-21st Battalion Leads Cleanliness Drive in Bandipora Village

Bandipora, Sep 26 (JKNS): A significant Cleanliness Drive was successfully conducted in and around Check Mantrigam village of district Bandipora today under the Civic Action Programme 2025-26 by J&K Armed Police, IRP-21st Battalion.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from respected locals, school children and staff of GMS Check Mantrigam Bandipora, police personnel, and officials from the Rural Development Department, showcasing a true spirit of community partnership.

The drive was followed by a brief function where students presented insightful items like speeches and skits, eloquently highlighting the importance of cleanliness. In recognition of their efforts, participation certificates were presented to the school children and staff.

As a practical step towards sustaining this initiative, cleanliness kits containing dustbins, brooms, wipers, toilet cleaners toilet brush etc were distributed to the participating locals and schools. These articles will empower them to continue the mission in their own homes and communities.

Shri Paramjeet Singh SSP JKPS, Commandant IRP-21st Bn, addressed the gathering and commended the collective effort. He emphasized the role of such initiatives in raising public awareness and fostering a cleaner, healthier environment for all.

This collaborative effort marks a positive step towards a Swachh and Swasth Bharat. (JKNS)
