Srinagar, Oct 3: Senior BJP Leader Er. Aijaz Hussain today called on the Director Education, Kashmir and raised several pressing issues concerning the education sector in the Srinagar outskirts, particularly in Khonmoh, Balhama, and Zaffron Colony.

During the meeting, Er. Aijaz Hussain highlighted the acute shortage of teaching staff in these areas, which is hampering the academic progress of students. He urged the department to ensure immediate posting of adequate teachers so that children do not suffer due to the staff crunch.

He also drew attention to the lack of proper infrastructure at Government School Panthachowk and appealed for timely intervention to provide necessary facilities for both students and teachers.

The Director Education gave a patient hearing and assured his intervention. He immediately spoke to the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar for resolving the issue of staff shortage in the concerned schools. He further assured that steps will be taken in the coming days to improve infrastructure at Government School Panthachowk.

Er. Aijaz Hussain thanked the Director Education for sanctioning funds for upgradation of infrastructure in several schools of the area and appreciated the department’s commitment towards strengthening the education system. He also praised the Director for his dedicated efforts in improving educational standards in government schools across Kashmir.

Speaking after the meeting, Er. Aijaz Hussain said, “Education is the foundation of youth empowerment and no student should suffer due to lack of teachers or infrastructure. A large number of students from poor families are enrolled in government schools and it is our collective duty to ensure they receive proper education in a supportive environment. I will continue to raise the voice of students and parents of Srinagar and will work tirelessly to ensure that our children get quality education in a conducive environment.”
