Karnah, Oct 10 (JKNS): An awareness program on Child Protection, Child Rights, and Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) was successfully organized today at Iqra Model Public School Kandi Karnah by the South Asia Center for Peace and People’s Empowerment (SACPPE).
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 250 students along with teachers and dignitaries from various departments.
The program aimed to educate students about their rights, safety measures, and awareness regarding the dangers of explosive remnants in conflict-prone areas.
Afreen Ara, Resource Person from SACPPE, delivered an insightful lecture on Child Protection and Child Rights, highlighting the importance of safeguarding children from exploitation and promoting awareness about their legal and social rights.
SI Abhishek, from Police Station Karnah, spoke on Child Rights and Cyber Safety, emphasizing the role of law enforcement in ensuring a safe environment for children.
The Fire and Emergency Department conducted an informative session on Fire Safety Measures, guiding students on preventive actions and emergency responses during fire incidents. Representatives from the Social Welfare Department also shared valuable insights about government initiatives for child welfare and protection.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of Iqra Model Public School Kandi Karnah, Mr. Ishfaq Ahmad Mir, extended heartfelt thanks to all the guests and departments for their valuable time and contribution. He appreciated the efforts of SACPPE for organizing such a meaningful and educational program that benefits both students and society.
