Srinagar, Oct 14 (JKNS): A grand Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Vidhansabha Sammelan was on Tuesday organized by DDC Member, Co-Incharge Minority Morcha (UT of J&K) and Incharge Lal Chowk Constituency, Er. Aijaz Hussain Rather at Jawaharnagar, Lal Chowk Constituency, which witnessed the enthusiastic participation of hundreds of party workers and local residents.

The event was held as part of the nationwide campaign promoting self-reliance and local empowerment under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

Addressing the gathering, Er. Aijaz Hussain highlighted the transformative reforms introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, which have laid a strong foundation for a self-reliant and empowered India. He emphasized that the people of Kashmir must embrace local produce, traditional crafts, and indigenous industries to strengthen the economy and reduce dependence on external markets.

“Atmanirbhar Bharat is the spirit of New India,” said Er. Aijaz Hussain. “Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, every region including Kashmir will emerge as a model of self-reliance, innovation, and sustainable growth. Our youth and entrepreneurs must lead this change from the grassroots.”

On the occasion, Senior BJP Leader Majid Ahmad Khan spoke about the importance of Swadeshi and self-dependence, urging citizens to prioritize locally made goods and actively contribute to building a strong, self-reliant nation.

Amarjeet Singh, in his address, noted that many countries have raised taxes on imports to protect their domestic industries, underscoring that India’s strength lies in supporting indigenous production and nurturing local economies.

The program concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to use Swadeshi products and to carry the campaign to the grassroots level, spreading awareness about self-reliance, innovation, and local entrepreneurship across the Lal Chowk Constituency. (JKNS)
