Jammu, Oct 24 (JKNS): In a tragic development, Sushma Sharma, wife of senior BJP leader and former Cabinet Minister Chander Prakash Ganga, passed away on Friday following a massive heart attack.

As per news agency JKNS, despite receiving the devastating news earlier in the day, Ganga performed his party duty by casting his vote in the Rajya Sabha elections before returning to Vijaypur to join his family.

The cremation is scheduled to take place this evening at 5 PM at the Cremation Ground, Sarore Adda.

The Bharatiya Janata Party Legislative Group in Jammu and Kashmir expressed deep grief and condolences over the demise. In a condolence message, the party described the late Sushma Sharma as a woman of “grace, simplicity, and compassion,” remembered for her warmth and commitment to family and community.

“Her untimely passing is an irreparable loss. The entire BJP family stands firmly with Chander Prakash Ganga and his family in this hour of grief,” the statement said.

Prayers were also offered for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss with courage.(JKNS)
