Srinagar, Oct 29 (JKNS): In response to a question raised by MLA Saif-Ud-Din Bhat regarding the reopening of popular tourist destinations Doodhpathri and Tosamaidan, the J&K Tourism Department stated that the decision currently rests on security considerations, which are beyond the department’s mandate.

According to official written reply, as per news agency JKNS, a letter from the MLA concerning the reopening has been forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner of Budgam for appropriate action.

The closure continues to impact tourism activities and the local economy in the region, though no timeline for reopening has been announced. (JKNS)
