Sopore, Oct 30 (JKNS): In a significant boost to healthcare infrastructure in North Kashmir, the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sopore has been equipped with a state-of-the-art Digital Radiography (DR) X-Ray Machine, marking a major milestone in diagnostic services for the region.
The installation of the machine was made possible through the joint efforts of Hon’ble MLA Sopore, Mr. Irshad Rasool Kar, and Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sopore, Dr. Zulfikhar Ahmad. This is the first DR X-Ray Machine to be installed in any government hospital in North Kashmir and will cater to patients from Sopore, Zaingair, Rafiabad, and adjoining areas.
The facility was established following the continuous efforts of MLA Sopore Mr. Irshad Rasool Kar and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Baramulla, Dr. A.G. Raina, who worked diligently to ensure that this modern diagnostic equipment was made available for public use. The machine has been donated free of cost by a national agency and will offer diagnostic services to patients without any additional charges.
“We are deeply grateful to MLA Sopore, Mr. Irshad Rasool Kar, and CMO Baramulla, Dr. A.G. Raina, for their dedicated efforts in bringing this facility to SDH Sopore,” said Dr. Zulfikhar Ahmad, BMO Sopore. “This machine will immensely benefit the people of North Kashmir, and we remain committed to providing high-quality healthcare to our patients.”
