WMDA, Manasbal Dramatics hold Jashn e Manasbal

Manasbal, Nov 08 (JKNS): To celebrate the onset of autumn, a day long cultural extravaganza was held here today by Wullar Manasbal Development Authority(WMDA) in collaboration with a local cultural group, Manasbal Dramatics.

The event was supported by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages and Department of Information.

Artist groups from adjoining areas mesmerised the audience with their soulful renditions.

A special feature of the cultural event was the staging of play Nou Chapraes written by Saleem Yousuf depicting the current issues in the society which received applause from the audience. On the occasion, a collection of short stories-Rafaqat by writer Rasheed Gangeen was also released.

Chief Executive Officer, WMDA said the initiative is aimed to promote Manasbal as the scenic and cultural destination for the tourists.

Renowned broadcaster and patron of the Manasbal Dtramatics, Nisar Naseem thanked the participant Departments for their support. He said the need of present times is to familiarise youth with their cultural roots. (JKNS)
