Awantipora 11 Nov (JKNS): Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drug abuse from the society, Police Pampore headed by SHO pS Pampore Inspector Khalid Fayaz arrested three persons during naka checking at Laterbal near Gas Plant, Pampore.
In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS, The accused have been identified as, Ashfaq Ahmad Khanday, S/o Ghulam Qadir R/o Wuyan. Muhammad Maqbool Rather S/o Abdul Ahad R/o Pustona Tral and Abid Hussain Khan, S/o Nazir Ahmad Khan R/o Larow, Tral, it reads.
During their personal search, police recovered 725 grams of bung Chura and 25 grams of charas-like substance from their possession.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 119/2025 under sections 8/20/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pampore, it reads.
Police Awantipora urge the community members come forward with any information regarding drug peddling or related activities. The identity of informants shall be kept confidential. (JKNS)
